Alright we are here, it’s the biggest draft weekend of the summer. Time to get ready.

Top 150 Players

Is McCaffery Really the #1 Pick in 2023?

The strategy is simple, pick the best players available for as long as you can. Last 2 picks for DST and K. Depending on league settings, you do not need a backup QB if you have a Top 7-8 guy, and the same is with TE. At this point of the season, you need to load up on RBs and WRs until we hit the Bye Weeks, then you can pick up streaming options for QB and TE assuming health. If you want to take a chance on a position, it is better to do that at WR and RB than QB.

*Note – Jerry Jeudy is removed from the list due to multi-week hamstring injury.

Here is a little bonus list of guys that I really want on my squads this year from the mid-rounds:

  • Jahmyr Gibbs, RB, DET – Gibbs blew up Twitter or X in camp by running right by a LB in practice. The Alabama RB is fast, can catch in a system that will score a lot. He will get vultured by Montgomery, but I’m excited for this guy in the pros.
  • Zach Charbonnet, RB, SEA – The Seahawks had a great rookie campaign with Kenneth Walker, but the stats were not great if you dug into them. as his negative run percentage was shockingly high. Plus, Walker is nursing a groin that will limit his explosive plays. Charbonnet can do it all, and HC Carroll will give him a run even if Walker is healthy.
  • Zay Flowers, WR, BAL – Yeah, the Ravens run a lot, but word out of camp is Flowers is a great route runner. He can separate, which is good for Lamar Jackson.
  • Jahan Dotson, WR, WAS – Dotson is a 2nd year WR with QB Sam Howell at QB. Dotson has that down field/big play and red zone ability. I like him to have a big year.
  • Romeo Doubs, WR, GB – His teammate, Williams, got a lot of press with his big games last year, and he will be good, but Doubs has had a great camp. I also think despite their best efforts, the Pack will be losing in a lot of games. Doubs can run routes and make the chains move.
  • Kyle Pitts, TE, ATL – Yeah, I know, I know, I thought he was going to crush it last year, but Ridder can hit the deeper ball better than Mariota. Pitts will make big plays in 2023.

Of course, check for injuries from Friday and Saturday night games. Plus, have a list of DSTs and Ks from whatever site you prefer for the final 2 rounds.

Good luck, Drafters!!
