Tomorrow is the running of the last leg in the Triple Crown this year at Belmont Park in New York.  The longest of the 3 races at 1 1/2.  It is a true test for any horse, but this year, Justify is attempting to be the 13th horse to win the Triple Crown.  9 horses will attempt to stop that from happening.

The Horses:

Justify (1) – 4-5

Hofburg (4) – 9-2

Bravazo (3) – 7-1

Vino Rosso (8) – 8-1

Tenfold (7) – 12-1

Gronkowski (6) – 12-1

Blended Citizen (10) – 15-1

Noble Indy (9) – 30-1

Free Drop Billy (2) – 30-1

Restoring Hope (5) – 30-1

Justify is the prohibitive favorite, but Hofburg can run with Justify and skipped the Preakness to go all in for this race.  Plus, Bravazo has been strong at the Derby and Preakness.  With the added distance, Justify will have to show that he is stronger than those 2.

There’s a lot of buzz with the great named horse, Gronkowski.  I mean why not, but a middle position and fresh horse.  People are liking his chances.

I’ve taken a beating this year just missing on the Trifectas in both early legs of this year’s Crown.

I’m not going to bet the Belmont this year.  If I were, I would do the following:

  • Trifecta Box:  Justify, Hofburg, and Bravazo (if you can wheel I’d add Gronkowski) – $5 Box
  • Superfecta Box:  Justify, Hofburg, Bravazo and Gronkowski
  • A Simple $10 bet on Gronkowski for fun, as his odds are decent.
  • Lastly, I would do another simple $10 Across the Board bet on Bravazo

Who do you like tomorrow?

PS – I’ll try to get Hammerin’ Hank’s picks from the Rich Eisen Show today, but I’ll be in transit, I may miss them.
